Cookie policy
This policy explains cookies, pixels and local storage on WeVoi. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. Non-essential cookies are off until you opt in, in line with the EU ePrivacy Directive, GDPR, UK PECR, and similar consent rules worldwide.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We also use similar technologies such as local storage (for example to remember this consent). Session cookies expire when you close the browser; persistent cookies last for a set period.
Who sets cookies
First-party cookies are set by WeVoi. Third-party cookies are set by others (for example Stripe during checkout, or YouTube if you play an embedded video). Payment pages and video hosts have their own notices.
Categories we use
- Essential (required). Required to run the site securely: session sign-in, security, load balancing, and storing your cookie choices.
- Preferences. Remember language, region, and display choices so the platform feels familiar on return visits.
- Analytics. Help us understand how the platform is used (page views, errors, performance) so we can improve it. Off until you opt in.
- Marketing. Used only if you opt in — for example campaign measurement or social embeds that may set third-party cookies.
Essential examples: session sign-in (better-auth), CSRF/security, load-balancer routing, and the wevoi-consent-v1 record of your choice. We do not run analytics or advertising tags unless you enable those categories.
Legal basis
Essential cookies: legitimate interests and/or necessity to provide the service you request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)/(f); KVKK Art. 5; equivalent grounds elsewhere). Optional cookies: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); ePrivacy Art. 5(3); PECR; KVKK explicit consent where required). You can reject or withdraw as easily as you accept. A Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal is treated as a rejection of marketing cookies and of “sale/share”.
How to manage cookies
Use Cookie settings in the site footer, or our privacy choices page. You can also delete cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in.
